  ROOMS :

  "Arroyo" and "Escondido"
Built in 2005 by architect Carl Vostatek, one of your hosts, these two units are similar suites in a duplex building. Each 550sf suite has a Living Room, Kitchen, and Dining area in one space and a separate Bedroom and Bathroom. The décor is “southwest” in flavor with imported furniture from Mexico. Floors are tile in all rooms except the Bedroom which is carpeted. The party wall between units is concrete to assure the utmost in sound privacy. Satellite TV is provided for your convenience. Ceiling fans and an air conditioning unit provide comfortable summer air. Each unit has its own entrance-way from the parking area and a private veranda with wonderful views of the awesome red rock cliffs and surrounding vistas. Arroyo has a futon couch that can be made into a bed, and Escondido’s couch is large enough to sleep on. Escondido is handicap accessible.

The Kitchen has gas range, refrigerator (under-counter size), microwave, coffeemaker, dishes, cooking utensils, silverware, napkins, etc. ready for your use. Kitchens are stocked with breakfast provisions for a "continental breakfast" (which can include cereals, pancake mix, powdered milk, coffee, teas, condiments, muffins, sweet rolls, juice) so that you may prepare your breakfast as you like, when you like.

  "Lago Vista"

Lago Vista is in a separate 885sf building a short distance from the Arroyo/Escondido duplex. It has a large open area (Great Room) with Kitchen, Dining and Living Room. Lago Vista has two bedrooms and can be booked for one bedroom or two. Bedroom one has a queen sized bed while the second Bedroom has two twin beds. The couch in the Great Room is a futon that can also be made into a bed. One Bathroom is shared by the two Bedrooms. The Great Room has painted concrete floor with rugs and the Bedrooms are carpeted. A view of the pond (the “lago”) is seen from the Great Room. The TV has a video/DVD player (with some movies available) but no satellite TV reception. Being separated from the other units offers good privacy.

A Note about food supplies, internet access, and cell phones

Due to remoteness of the Paradox Valley, we would like to mention that the Bedrock Store located six miles from the Inn is the closest available grocery shopping. It offers limited food items (comparable to a convenience store) as well as liquor. The largest family market is in Naturita, a distance of 25 miles from the Inn. We suggest if fresh items such as milk, eggs, bread, meats, fresh fruit and vegetables are desired for breakfasts or other meals, they be purchased on the way to the Inn.

There is wireless availability for guests with laptops only in the outside veranda reception area at the Office. The wireless router is in the Solarium of the Office and is not powerful enough to reach Lago Vista, Arroyo or Escondido. It does, however, reach Casita and the Office parking area which allows internet access while in ones car or the area nearby.

There is generally no cell phone reception in the Valley ("Sprint" is available). Otherwise, the closest available reception is in Naturita to the east or Moab to the west.
